You are hereby summoned to participate in a Virtual Meeting via Zoom of Preston-Under-Scar Parish Council on Wednesday 9 December 2020 at 7.15pm for the purpose of transacting the following business:
- To receive apologies for absence
- To confirm the Minutes of the Meetings held on 15 July and 4 November 2020 which are circulated with this agenda and available on the Parish Website.
- To declare Councillors’ interests in items on the agenda
- Action taken since the last meeting
Clerk’s Salary – the Council has paid the Clerk’s salary for hours worked and expenses for July, August and September in accordance with the Clerk’s contract.
ZOOM – Over the past few months the Council has followed the advice of NALC/YLCA and not held any face to face meeting. However, as the current COVID situation may not improve for some time, Councillors decided to hold virtual meetings using Zoom software. As the Council does not hold a credit or debit card, it was agreed that the Zoom account would be opened by a Councillor, charged to the Councillor’s credit card, and the Councillor will submit expense claims. Village groups have been advised of the Zoom account and invited to make use of it.
Grass Cutting; The council has continued to pay for grass cutting in the cemetery and the village in accordance with the agreement with DCN Fencing and Landscaping Contractor.
Website: The annual fee for hosting the Council’s website was paid to Town and Parish Council websites.

20/0078/FULL & 20/00782/LBC – Full Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the demolition of existing lean-to garage and construction of lean-to porch at 2 Preston Mill, Wensley Station, Preston-Under-Scar, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 4AG – RDC have been advised that the Parish Council has no objections to these applications
